Rivals of Aether 2 Release Date and New Character Revealed

Big news in the world of Aether, a release date has finally been dropped. (October 23, 2024) Watch the official Reveal Trailer below

Along with the release date announcement, a new character has been revealed! Rounding out the release roster to 10 characters.

There currently is no confirmation if the newest character will be in the September 27-29 beta (to learn more about free open slots click here: Rivals2FreeBetaSignups).

The artists over at AetherStudios have really outdone themselves with this trailer. The new art style for the cinematics looks incredible. The dynamic camera motion made it a visual treat. It feels like the team is really stepping onto a new horizon of production quality and I can't wait to see more.

New Character Revealed!

Forsburn, The Exiled Flame, returning character from Rivals of Aether. Member of the Fire Empire, he was framed for murder and exiled. Joining the smoke clan he mastered a new array of abilities.

Having the ability to conceal himself and make shadowy smoke clones, he was a very tricky and hard to master character. He had average speed, a bit on the lower side, but his KO power, flexible combos leading into his combustion special, ability to mix his opponents with clones made him quite a threat in the competitive scene.
